The Neurofeedback LORETA Z-Score allows us to take a tracing of an individual’s brainwaves and convert them into a three-dimensional image of the brain. This allows us to study and apply biofeedback to help the patient change their brainwaves. This is done by capturing the brain’s impulses via a cap that fits on the head that is outfitted with a series of 19 electrodes. An electroconductive gel is then applied to conduct electricity from the scalp to the electrodes, enabling us to measure the brain’s activity. Your therapist will use this information to detect specific issues or patterns that are taking place and assess what approach to treatment is best for the patient.
